The 2044 Mid June tornado outbreak sequence was an extremely deadly, extremely destructive tornado outbreak sequence, which lasted 4 days, producing 137 tornadoes, of which one, the New York City tornado, was rated as an EF4, the strongest not only of the outbreak, but the strongest ever recorded in the state of New York since official records began in the 1950 season. 41 people died as a result of the outbreak, of which 4 were non tornado related, so count as indirect fatalities in the totals. Damages totaled $1.42 billion from the outbreak, making it one of the coastliest on record as a result.
